Yes. A foreign company can engage an Employer of Record to hire employees in Malaysia without first incorporating a Malaysian company. The EOR employs the worker through its local entity and manages the Malaysian employment and payroll requirements. This allows the foreign company to enter the Malaysia market, test its business model or build an initial team before committing to entity establishment.

peopleoº is the legal employer and is named as the employer in the Malaysian employment contract and relevant statutory records. Your company remains the operational employer. You determine the employee’s role, reporting structure, responsibilities, work priorities and performance expectations, while peopleoº manages local employment administration and compliance.

The total monthly cost normally consists of the employee’s salary, employer statutory contributions, agreed benefits, insurance, the EOR service fee and applicable taxes. peopleoº uses a transparent per-active-employee fee model. Clients receive a cost breakdown so that employee expenses and the EOR service fee can be reviewed separately.

Statutory employer contributions are calculated and managed by peopleoº as part of the monthly Malaysia EOR payroll process. All applicable amounts are itemised in the monthly payroll cost breakdown and paid to the relevant Malaysian authorities within the required timelines.

Yes. Recruitment can be provided as a separate service or combined with the Malaysia EOR solution.

peopleoº EOR service is primarily intended for Malaysian citizens and individuals who already hold valid work rights in Malaysia. Employment Pass sponsorship and immigration support are not automatically included in the standard EOR service.
